
ANGELA MENDOZA
Angela Mendoza was ranked #1 in Venezuela in both the 14- and 16-year-old categories. She had the privilege of representing her country in numerous South American tournaments, achieving a #5 ranking in the South American region and in 2017, she was selected to be part of the national selection team.
Angela received an athletic scholarship to Campbellsville University, where she competed in the #1 and #2 singles positions for all four years, being the captain of the team at the same time. During her college career, she earned numerous accolades, including NCCAA All-American and NCCAA All-Tournament Team honors in 2021. She was also part of the NCCAA Team Champion at the Christian Nationals, named to the NCCAA All-American Tournament Team, and awarded Player of the Week in 2022. Angela was recognized as an NAIA Scholar Athlete, an Academic All-Mid-South Conference honoree, and earned All-Mid-South Conference Honorable Mention in 2023.
Tennis has provided Angela with incredible opportunities and has profoundly shaped her life. She is now passionate about passing on the knowledge she has gained from her experiences in international tournaments and college athletics. Angela’s goal is to give back to the next generation of players by providing them with the same guidance and mentorship she once received. As a coach, she is committed to making a positive impact on her players’ lives, both on and off the court. Tennis has brought Angela to where she is today, and her unwavering passion and gratitude for the sport are what drive her to be a unique and dedicated coach.
