
JUAN DURAN
Director of the Black Program | High Performance Coach
Bio
Juan is the Director of the Black Program at McLean Racquet & Health Club and brings extensive experience in both junior development and collegiate high-performance tennis. Originally from Colombia, he began coaching at a young age within the high-performance programs where he trained and quickly developed a passion for helping others excel through tennis.
Juan earned his MBA from Northwest Missouri State University, where he also served as the Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams. During his tenure, both programs achieved the highest national rankings in school history (#7 nationally), won two MIAA Regional Championships, and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2023.
His unique combination of developing beginners and coaching nationally ranked collegiate players allows him to guide athletes from their first competitive experiences to high-level performance.
